We are an Indian band based in Delhi, India. We provide emotional music for the soul with a blend of vernacular lyrics and soft musical textures. Our group is related with Gospel Music while our name 'maat pita ke charno mein swarg' means "The Kingdom of Heaven in my Heart" and it's the song that inspired us to start singing. The Band maat pita ke charno mein swarg was formed by four members after they met at Delhi University in 2006 during their undergraduate course there. The band's uniqueness lies in the fact that it is a non-profit organization where all the band members are either actively pursuing their PhD. degrees or have completed them. Besides being academically oriented, the band members have a deep passion for music and have been singing since childhood leading to the formation of the group. Due to our diverse backgrounds, we bring a variety of influences into our music, which has helped us build a distinctive sound of our own. The group was founded by Aman Dhalliwal (guitar, vocals), Jayant Pandit (bass guitar), Parul Sahni (vocals), Lokesh Yadav (guitar) and Arun Sharma (drums). The band's first album 'maat pita ke charno mein swarg' was released in 2009. The band members all come from different backgrounds and cultures, thus enabling them to create a unique blend of music. The band consists of Aman Dhalliwal (guitar, vocals), Jayant Pandit (bass guitar), Parul Sahni (vocals), Lokesh Yadav (guitar) and Arun Sharma (drums). Jayant Pandit is a bass guitarist and vocalist of the Indian indie rock band Maat Pita Ke Charno Mein Swarg. He is studying at University of Delhi, India, and pursuing his PhD in Mathematics. Lokesh Yadav, the guitarist of the Indian indie rock band Maat Pita Ke Charno Mein Swarg. He also has a master's degree in mathematics. He is pursuing his PhD degree at University of Delhi, India. Arun Sharma is the drummer of the Indian indie rock band Maat Pita Ke Charno Mein Swarg. He has strong roots in Indo-rock music with having played for major bands like Pentagram, The Mohan veena Ensemble and Others. He is pursuing his PhD degree at University of Delhi, India. Parul Sahni of the Indian indie rock band Maat Pita Ke Charno Mein Swarg. He has a Master's degree in English from University of Delhi and he is pursuing a PhD degree at University of Delhi.
